About The Barcelona Edit

The Barcelona Edit is a curated lifestyle publication for the English-speaking community in Barcelona. It’s personal but useful, and always grounded in real experiences. Whether you live here full-time, are just passing through, or dream of making Barcelona your home someday, this space is for you.

You’ll find stories that go beyond a simple list of recommendations. I share the places I genuinely love — from neighborhood cafés and stylish stays to road trips around Spain and beyond — always with the hope that it inspires you to create your own experiences.

I hope when you land here you feel like you’re catching up with a friend who just happens to know a lot about Barcelona. I’m endlessly curious, so I’m always trying new spots, going back to old favorites, and finding ways to enjoy both the big and small parts of life here.

What you’ll find here is a mix of practical tips and personal stories — the kind of things that make Barcelona not just fun to visit, but a really great place to live.

My Barcelona Story

I moved to Barcelona nine years ago thinking it would be just another stop in a long list of places we had lived. I was married, raising kids, and ready for the next adventure. What I didn’t know then was that this city would become so much more than a location, it became a home.

This relaunch is a bit of also a personal reset. Life looks different in Barcelona now, quieter and slower. I’m rediscovering Barcelona through new eyes, and it feels exciting to create something that reflects how I am living life here now.

The Barcelona Edit is part journal, part city guide, and part love letter to this next phase of life. It’s a place to share what’s inspiring, beautiful, and meaningful, whether that’s a tiny wine bar, a stunning building, or just a really good beach day.

Alongside The Barcelona Edit, I have also started Run Happy Barcelona — which has two parts: a social running group for locals and running experiences for visitors. I don’t give tours in the traditional sense, but I will run you through the streets of Barcelona and share plenty of insider tips along the way. It’s an active and energized way to see the city… so if you want to see Barcelona with me, you’ll have to run!

The Barcelona Edit Contributors

The Barcelona Edit welcomes a small but diverse group of guest contributors, all of whom call Barcelona home. They bring different backgrounds, expertise, and experiences, offering fresh perspectives that add depth and variety to the stories we share. You’ll hear their voices in pieces about travel, food, style, culture, and everyday life in the city.

  • If you are a writer living in Barcelona and would like to contribute please feel free to reach out.
  • If you have an event, experience, story or unique product you think I should know about, please get in touch! I would love to hear about it and perhaps share it on the wbesite or in the newsletter.
