by Andrea Fellman | Sep 29, 2020 | Style

Barcelona inspires beautiful living. Whether you’re decorating a 30-square-meter studio or a sprawling ático, the search for stylish furniture and unique Barcelona home decor can feel overwhelming. To make it easier, we’ve rounded up some of the city’s most creative and inspiring shops. You may also want to look at our curated list of the 25 Best Shops for Buying Gifts in Barcelona — several of them have fantastic home finds too.

Omnibus

An eclectic showroom offering a mix of new and old furniture given a new life – rustic, industrial, and French country style, including some timeless treasures from the 18th and 19th century. But the definite highlight of the shop is the daring and provocative photography by Sílvia Serra, who also happens to be the founder of Omnibus.

Casa Azul

Casa Azul

Vintage style furniture and decor from India. Some pieces look like they’ve been ripped out of an old house in Provence, but everything in this Barcelona home decor shop comes from India. Store founder Frédéric Noguer relentlessly travels to the colourful markets of Rajasthan and the most remote places of India, searching for vintage treasures and new pieces with a lot of character to them – cabinets, mirrors, photo frames, door knobs, and a lot more. Another pleasant surprise — prices lower than expected!

Ici et là

A very colourful little art gallery featuring limited series furniture, lighting, and artwork by local artists, all curated by founder Isabelle Dubois. Upon request, any piece can be made to measure.  The Catman, K. Fabrizzi, V. Linares, I. Fortuny, and Josep Cerdá  are among the artists and creators whose works make up the gallery’s collection.  The gallery is located near metro Urquinaona on Passatge de Sert, a discreet little passage that runs through what used to be one of Barcelona’s largest textile factories.

Bon Vent Barcelona Shops

Bon Vent

One of the cutest home decor shops in town, Bon Vent is a celebration of Mediterranean slow living – the sun and the sea, old and new. Flora and fauna-inspired wall art, lamps, and cutlery given a second life, Cerabella candles made in Barcelona, beautiful Moroccan dishware, and equally lovely ceramics ‘Made in Catalonia’ – everything in this shop is carefully selected and artfully displayed.

Barcelona Home Decor Stores

Casa Atlàntica

As the name may suggest, all the pottery, baskets, and decorative ceramics in this Gràcia shop are made by artisans from the Atlantic coast of the peninsula – Portugal and Galicia. The highlight of the shop is, arguably, their pottery. Casa Atlàntica is one of the best places in Barcelona to shop for planters, if you really want to do your plant babies justice and at the same time add a bit of colour to your home.

Azultierra

Sophisticated, luxurious, and ultra-expensive, the 1,300-meter showroom is a true point of reference for interior designers in Barcelona. Founded by interior stylist Toni Espuch, Azultierra is packed with designer and vintage furniture, upscale tableware, textiles, and more. If you have a lot of cash to burn, this is the place for you.

Home Decor Stores Barcelona

Cosydar-Deco BCN

Natural-fibre furniture and accessories are a hot design trend, but authenticity can be hard to find at Barcelona home decor stores. The moment you step into Cosydar-Deco, you know it’s the real deal. Room dividers, auxiliary tables, benches, floor and suspended lamps, baskets – everything here is hand-made by artisans from Northern Africa and oozes time-honoured traditions and authenticity, including a collection of brass mirrors available in the coolest shapes.

Guest Author: Born in Moscow, Olga Friauf harbored a dream to move to Barcelona since she first came here on holiday at the age of 15. When that dream came true many years later, she also discovered a passion for blogging and colourful interiors. The two came together in her blog ¡Colour Your Casa! Olga lives in Poblenou and the only thing she loves more than her eclectic flat filled with happy colours is the beach.
