Wine Courses Barcelona Wine Courses Barcelona was founded by Sharon in 2015, with the aim of taking the snobbishness out of wine appreciation and to help others make the leap into the wine industry. WCB provides the world-renowned Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) qualifications, from Levels 1 to 3. As the international standard in wine and spirits education, these are invaluable assets for professionals and informative, comprehensive courses for novice wine lovers. To date, WCB has trained over 270 students from 48 nationalities and enjoys exceptional pass rates. WCB also provides training for individuals and businesses, including bespoke training for hotels, restaurants, bars, yacht crew, and wineries, as well as corporate entertainment programs and team building events. Sharon became a Certified Sherry Educator in November 2019 and her next goal is to spread the love for this under-appreciated beverage throughout Barcelona! The WCB team grew in 2019 when Sharon was joined by owner of Salut Wine Studio, Melissa Leighty, who teaches Level 1 courses; and Simone Velluti. Both Melissa and Simone are proud WCB graduates. Their maxim is: “grab a glass, get involved!” Why don’t you? About Meagan BellovinMeagan arrived in Barcelona in 2019, having left behind a full life of family, friends, and career in Austin, Texas. Paint & Wine Nights Arte Bar is Barcelona’s Premier Painting and Wine Studio. They offer no-experience-required paint nights in their hip and casual studio six nights a week (Tuesday-Sunday). Their art instructors will guide you step-by-step in creating your version of the featured painting of the night, while you relax, unplug, listen to music, meet new people and have a glass of wine or beer. Classes are three hours long and include all materials, instruction, and pica pica. Beer and wine can be bought at the studio or you can bring your own. At the end of the night, students take home the painting they created during the class. Private events or team building events available during the day or in the evening for groups of up to 24 people.
